CRP Mymensingh - BAU Centre is making a significant impact, providing rehabilitation services to around 2,500 local people each year, with a total of 22,989 appointment sessions annually. The centre offers a range of essential services, including:

In addition, the centre organizes campaign-based Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supportive Seating Services at regular intervals, expanding its reach and ensuring the rehabilitation needs of the community are met.

To further improve its services, CRP Mymensingh - BAU Centre is working towards a long-term vision that includes:

Acquiring land to establish a dedicated facility for comprehensive rehabilitation services

Building a new centre equipped with advanced prostheses and orthoses services, as well as a sensory garden for therapeutic purposes

Income-generating activities, including pantry, canteen, and catering services, accommodation facilities to ensure the financial sustainability of the centre

This vision will enable CRP Mymensingh to continue meeting the growing needs of the local population while offering more space, better equipment, and a greater variety of services.

Despite its success, the centre faces several challenges:

• Lack of rehabilitation professionals to meet the growing demand
• Limited space in the current one-storied building (5,058 sq. ft.)
• High turnover of rehabilitation professionals, affecting the continuity of services
• Difficulty in managing urgent or sick leave for key staff such as receptionists, Ayah, and security guards
• High renovation and maintenance costs for the existing facility
• These challenges make it difficult for the centre to fully realize its potential and meet the extensive rehabilitation needs of the community.
